Camelot Texels appear in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’

In early December 2004 14 Camelot Texel ewe lambs travelled to Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire to commence training for their part in the Warner Bros hit film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ (Website - Click here).  The training involved the sheep responding to stand on a wooden board on command. Three had to wear a pink ‘costume’, four were shorn and sprayed pink with non-toxic dye together with pink nail ‘varnish’, the rest were understudies. All part of the Willy Wonka factory. On their return the shorn ewes were housed for the remainder of the winter basking in their moment of glory. Needless to say the cast principals named Barb, Betty, Diane, Dolly, Flo and Lily have become real characters in the Camelot Texel flock.

The Supreme Champion at the North Wales Texel Club Sale; a Shearling Ewe from the Bryn Garth flock, was purchased recently. This very correct ewe with tremendous gigot is a daughter of Douganhill Jeronimo out of a Tamnamoney Guinness ewe. Previous purchases from Bryn Garth by Guinness have bred exceptionally well here.

Embryos available from Tunstall Rubens Jill Red x Rosedale-L Rampage Red
